På Grenselandmuseet forteller vi om Sør-Varanger som grenseområde og møtested. Faste utstillinger viser temaer som industribygging, krigshistorie og dagliglivet til grensefolket gjennom tidene. I tillegg finnes aktuelle skiftende utstillinger. Her er også museumsbutikk med variert utvalg og en lys og trivelig kafè. Bygget har en flott foajè som ofte brukes i forbindelse med kulturarrangementer. Utenfor finnes benker, lekeplass og en spennende labyrint å utforske på sommerstid. Bygget ligger ved et populært turområde rett ved innkjøringen til Kirkenes, ca. en kilometer fra Kirkenes sentrum.

The Borderland Museum

At the Borderland Museum, we tell about Sør-Varanger as a border area and meeting place. Permanent exhibitions show themes such as industrial construction, war history and the daily life of the border people through the ages. In addition, there are current changing exhibitions. There is also a museum shop with a varied selection and a bright and pleasant café. The building has a great foyer which is often used in connection with cultural events. Outside there are benches, a playground and an exciting labyrinth to explore in summer. The building is located at a popular hiking area right at the entrance to Kirkenes, approx. one kilometer from the center of Kirkenes
